Kris Humphries is now a single man. After he and ex-wife Kim Kardashian
finalized divorce recently, the basketball player is apparently ready
to start a new life. The 28-year-old athlete, however, is currently not
seeing anyone.
"I don't have any [girlfriends] right now," he said at "Man of Steel"
premiere on Monday, June 10 in New York, as quoted by Us Weekly. "I'm
happy. I've got a big smile on my face," he said of life after divorce.
He continued saying, "It feels great" to leave 18 months of the highly
reported divorce proceedings.
The Brooklyn Nets power forward added that he learned a lot from his split with the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians"
star. "You can't force a love life. I'm just focused on training and
basketball," he explained. "I think you learn something all the time,"
he said of his previous love story. "I'm just focused on me and having a
good time."
Kris and Kim got married on August 20, 2011. However, their union only
lasted for 72 days as the couple announced that they called it quits on
Halloween. "After careful consideration, I have decided to end my
marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I
had hoped this marriage was forever but sometimes things don't work out
as planned," Kim said of her separation from Kris back then.
The couple reached a divorce settlement in April. Later on June 3, a
judge at Los Angeles Superior Court signed the official paperwork to
dissolve their marriage.
