The Blues skipper has 12 months remaining on his £150,000-a-week deal and is anxious to secure an extension but Mourinho will have the final say.Chelsea are reluctant to give older players new deals, but Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard signed one-year contract extentions earlier this season.
