Late Musa Goal Ends Kenya’s 2014 Brazil Dreams

A rare blunder by David Ochieng’ proved costly as Kenya’s Harambee Stars fell to Nigeria’s Super Eagles in a Word Cup 2014 qualifier at Moi International Sports Centre on Wednesday.
Kenya had held on gallantly until 10 minutes from time when a ball that seemed harmless was looped by Mohammed Musa into the net after he overpowered Ochieng’.

Super Eagles Coach Stephen Keshi Admits Harambee Stars Pose a Challenge

The encounter was marked with drama after Nigerian contingent declined to put up in the hotel they were booked in, saying it was “not conducive.”

They later relocated to a hotel along Thika road. Later in the day, the African champions went to Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, to get a feel of the venue of Wednesday’s World Cup qualifier, arriving there at exactly 4.03pm for the brief training session.

NFF Defends Eagles Travel Plans

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has defended the travel plans for the Super Eagles to Kenya ahead of Wednesday’s 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifier against the Harambee Stars. 

 The Nigerian contingent will only arrive in Nairobi on Tuesday following long flights from Houston to Nairobi via Frankfurt and Addis Ababa.

Fashola Unveils Adopted Athletes in Lagos
