Warner Music to give platform to African stars in Europe

A RECORD LABEL developing talent of African descent has agreed to partner with Warner Music Group’s Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA) for an exclusive European distribution deal.

Asquared Entertainment, a niche record label, publishing and management company, sources and develops talent of African artists, including afrobeats star DizZY and Eastenders actor Chucky Venice, across the entertainment industries.

Through the new partnership, African artists will be given the opportunity to get their music distributed by a major label outside of Africa.

Alexander Amosu, the Asquared chairman, said: “Only a handful of African acts get signed by major labels, Asquared signs talented artists and now we can offer them the exciting opportunity of having their music heard across Europe.”

Dan Chalmers, managing director of ADA and Warner Music Artist and Labels Services added: “We are delighted to have formed a partnership with Asquared, and I look forward to working with Alexander to showcase exciting new and innovative artists from the African continent to a wider international audience."
