Rummenigge wants World Cup Domination

Bayern Munich  chief-executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has demanded that Germany's national team follows in the footsteps of the Bundesliga clubs in the Champions League this season by winning World Cup 2014.

The Bavarians and Borussia Dortmund clashed in the Champions League final this campaign and an increasing number of football fans are following German football, which is praised for its low-price season tickets in particular.

Podolski in spotlight for Germany

Lukas Podolski will be out to prove the doubters wrong when he takes the field for Germany against Ecuador on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old Arsenal striker is set to earn his 109th cap in the friendly international in Boca Raton, Florida in an opportunity to show coach Joachim Loew that he is still an important player for the national team ahead of next year's World Cup in Brazil.
